This Sunday we look forward to hearing from Martin Carr - Operations and Finance Manager - St Paul's and St Cyprian's churches
During Lent, we are housing Anne Grebby’s wonderful ‘Reading between the lines’. Videos with brief explanations of the works are released each Wednesday and Friday during Lent on our YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSurHRlRniDN559VnZT_x2A Electoral Roll: We have started the annual revision of the Electoral Roll. If you are not yet on our Electoral Roll and would like to be, or if you have details to update, please do take one of the forms available at the back of church and return to one of the clergy or directly to the Parish Office. Please note that we are only able to accept signed hard copies. It was announced last Sunday week, that our curate Helena has been appointed as Minor Canon and Chaplain of Westminster Abbey. This is wonderful news for Helena and we wish her all the very best in the next stage of her ministry. Helena’s final Sunday with us at St Stephen’s will be this Easter day. If you would like to contribute to her leaving gift please see the vicar or one of the churchwardens. I am sure we will be able to give her a good and fitting farewell. Her Installation at the Abbey will be at Evensong on Tuesday 23 April at 5pm, to which all are welcome. Our love, prayers and good wishes go with her and Percy. South Westminster Legal Advice centre is looking for support from volunteers in a variety of roles. One role would be monitoring incoming emails to our website and would suit someone able to commit time working from home. The others could be setting up equipment to charge prior to the lawyers arriving and/or acting as an administrator during the clinic. Further, a volunteer would be needed on Tuesday evenings and on Thursday evenings to act as guide to the soon-to-be implemented case management system. The legal volunteers will benefit from someone who can help them negotiate it. If available/interested please contact Diana Copper dianacopper@hotmail.com Do you enjoy singing? The Choir at St Stephen's are keen to welcome new singers in all voice-parts - soprano, alto, tenor, bass. Want to know more, or to try it out? Please e-mail our Director of Music, Matthew Blaiden, at music@sswsj.org Offering you are most welcome to donate in any way that works best for you, through our link, at our cashless donation box or using the Offertory Plate. |
