St. Stephen’s Parish Choir (voluntary choir) sings at the 10am Parish Eucharist, and occasionally for other Services too. The team includes novice singers and advanced musicians, offering appropriate leadership of congregational worship, together with a weekly anthem.
Rehearsals are normally all contained within Sunday morning – starting at 9.20am and ending at 12 noon after Service and coffee.
Matthew Blaiden (Organist) trains the Parish Choir and are always pleased to audition prospective singers. If you would like to apply to join the choir please email [email protected]. Rosemary Field remains as Emeritus Organist.
The church is also used for concerts and rehearsals by diverse choirs.
An Organ Scholarship is in place now that we have the newly-installed J J Binns organ, inaugurated by James O’Donnell; the organ is used regularly in concerts as well as being the main instrument for accompanying worship.
