As our St Stephen’s week celebrations marking 175 years since the consecration of our church draws to a close, we want to offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it so special.
To those who spoke, sang, played, performed, and participated in any way--thank you. Your contributions filled our church with joy, beauty, and meaning. It was a powerful reminder of the richness of our community and the enduring spirit that binds us together.
We are deeply proud of our legacy, not only as a place of worship but as a community rooted in service and compassion. St Stephen’s was built through the vision and generosity of Angela Burdett-Coutts, whose lifelong commitment to improving the lives of those around her continues to inspire us today. Her belief that the church could be a force for good in the heart of the city lives on in everything we do. We look forward to the coming year as we continue to celebrate this legacy.
