Bellringing at St Stephen's
Bellringers report for 2024
The bell ringing at St Stephen has been going well for the past year. The ringing team continue to ring regularly on Sunday mornings, with ringing taking place on the 1st Sunday morning from 9:30-10:00, and on 2nd/4th Sunday from 11:15-11:45. On the 3rd Sunday of the month, before the Evensong service, we ring a longer length of ringing with 8 selected ringers ringing a quarter peal, which is continued ringing for around an hour. Since April 2024 we have rung 9 of these for the Evensong service. We are always looking for people to help us ring the bells. As well as providing a service for the church, bellringers also enjoy much social activity, and we always need new ringers to help us ring the large variety of bells in and around the London area.
